Not every graduate will secure the right job immediately. The mistake is allowing the waiting period to become passive. Repeated applications without any change in skills, evidence, or strategy can leave the profile exactly where it started.

Use the period deliberately. Build projects, improve your portfolio, learn targeted tools, contribute to real work, practice interviews, and document progress. Treat the search itself as a structured process with weekly goals.

This does not mean hiding unemployment. It means being able to show that the period contained serious professional activity and development.

A productive transition period can give you a stronger answer when an interviewer asks what you have been doing since graduation.
