Begin with a target. Decide which role, service, or field you are preparing for, then identify the skills and proof that target requires. Avoid collecting unrelated courses because they are easy to start.

Build a sequence of projects that increases in difficulty. After each one, document what you did, request feedback, correct weaknesses, and update your portfolio. At the same time, improve your CV and practice explaining the work aloud.

Track output rather than motivation. Useful measures include projects completed, portfolio pieces improved, proposals sent selectively, interviews practiced, and technical gaps closed.

The aim of a six-month reset is not a guaranteed job. It is to become a materially stronger candidate than you were at the beginning.
